A RAZOR-SHARP, lustrous crystal of incredibly translucent azurite that is as near as you can get to GEMMY quality for the species. This crystal is pristine on the display face and is one of the more exquisite azurite miniatures I have seen for any locality or crystal habit due to its sharpness and color. The rich blue comes out with strong backlighting best, but even in normal lighting it goes nicely transparent around the edges and those blue rims highlight the thicker core. This is a prized specimen from the private collection of French dealer Michel Jactat. The piece is nearly pristine, and is pristine on the front with just a few tiny dings or contacts on the back side only.
