This is a large and BEAUTIFUL specimen of the prized cuprian variety of smithsonite from Tsumeb! Two sides of this chunk of matrix are completely covered with sparkly, bright pea-green crystals - so they wrap around the specimen and give it dimensionality, rather than being a simple plate.
