AN AESTHETIC CABINET specimen of botryoidal, yellow-orange, cadmium-rich smithsonite preferentially coated by sharp, colorless calcite rhombs. The calcite rhombs look like snow draping a mountain side, giving a dramatic look. From the Ed Ruggiero Collection, who personally collected this stunning piece from the Monte Cristo Mine in Arkansas in September, 1975! His card says that this is the largest piece, that he collected that day. This is a unique pocket, and a great combo for the locality.
