Expert lapidary work is apparent in this free-form carving by renowned azurite-malachite specialist Bud Standley. This is the last of the small lot of four carvings that we obtained. The richness of the concentric banding of lighter blue against deep indigo is revealed by the excellent polish. A bit of malachite adds a nice contrast. This material is from the famous Copper Queen Mine at Bisbee. 1.4 x 1.2 x 0.5 cm
