This particularly finely crystallized thumbnail specimen is a classic Russian crystallized gold from a deposit that normally produces rounded lumps, and so these sharp crystals are all the more treasured. It was Barlow #4258 in his large thumbnail gold suite, back in the 1980s and 1990s. It has now been with me twice, ten years or more apart. I bought it from the sale of the Barlow collection back in the early 2000s, and have not seen it since! Hefty for the size, at just over 4 grams, it displays dramatically as a full thumbnail. COMPLETE ALL AROUND.
