A classic "gold wire nest" style of gold from finds of the mid 1990s, and still in the old box it came in. These golds are modern classics, unique for the style and locality. The gold occurs as small wires (elongated crystals, actually), surrounding shards of matrix on all sides. This one really looks like a nest! Most such specimens are mostly ugly rock with minimal gold - but this one features lots of gold draping the rock in an elegant manner. It is one of the more beautiful of this style, especially for a full miniature. Note, these are wiggly, and this has been stabilized (by me) using diluted elmer's glue.
