Gem crystals from the district are uncommon in this sharp quality. A felted mass of sparkling, drusy calcite gives way to discrete crystals, to 1.1 cm across, of glassy and gemmy bicolored fluorite. The fluorite crystals exhibit a light purple core with darker purple edges. Collected last week in August 1993 from the Poe pod. RCL1143.
