SOLD
From the type locality and where the mineral reaches its zenith, this tarbuttite (a rare, zinc, phosphate, hydroxide) embodies high qualities of the species. Perched nicely on its limonite matrix, this specimen features several, iridescent, translucent, sheaf-like crystals with a golden-amber color with crystals reaching 1.25 cm in length. Ex collection of Martin Zinn. Named after Percy Coventry Tarbutt, a Director of the Broken Hill Exploration Company who collected some of the first specimens at Broken Hill (now Kabwe), Zambia
