Beautiful large 4-inch cluster of really saturated blue azurite crystals, accented with minor green malachite, from a classic and old Mexican location. It is a floater, complete all around! This is a huge example for an Azurite "Rose" from any locality, particularly Mexico, and is in very good condition. We know that it was acquired by the museum from Susie Davis in 1963. They are reported to have come out in the 1960s, so this makes sense as perhaps an early one off the top of the deposit. Museum label included. A large piece, at 2.13 pounds!
