- Miniature, 4.9 x 4.0 x 3.6 cm
- Concepcion del Oro, Zacatecas, Mexico
- Ex. David and Emily Stoudt
The deep-blue blades of Azurite on the specimen appear to unfurl like the petals on a blooming flower. The lustrous, sharp crystals serve as a reminder that before Milpillas came to the market, Concepcion del Oro was the famous Mexican Azurite locale. Though this plate has some wear on the edges, and what appears to be some damage resulting from collection techniques, this piece is an excellent example of Azurite from Zacatecas. Extremely fine display quality specimen from the Stoudt collection.
