Sapat Gali is a now-classic locality that has produced the world's best crystals of Peridot, by far. It dates back thousands of years and yet production has been very sporadic. The color of this crystal is a very rich, lime-green and has a sliver of matrix material on part of the base. The crystal is well-formed with lustrous prism faces, with pyramid faces that make up the termination and it is largely gem at the interior. The top half is gemmy and the bottom half is mostly so with a couple of small veiled inclusions and then an angled, iron-stained inclusion at the halfway point. This is a very nice Peridot crystal with a little tan matrix attached for added character. It is a colorful crystal with great luster and is in excellent condition all around. Ex. Steve Smale.
