This is a well formed, slender, glowing crystal of glassy and gemmy, dark, neon purple tanzanite from the Merelani Hills region of Tanzania. Strikingly beautiful! As the color shows zonation, from lavender to purple to blue, we know that it is a natural color and not heated. While not large, or even significant for size or breadth, the slender look of this gem crystal is just striking and beautiful.
