Beautifully formed, this amazing GEM crystal of danburite touches all the bases for a superb gem crystal thumbnail: it is glassy and gemmy, totally transparent, and sharp. It also has both an unusual locality and an unusual color, as extra bonus - which is the kind of thing that would make it stand out in a competitive thumbnail display in competition as something others simply do not have. The crystal exhibits a lovely yellow color unique to scapolite from Tanzania, in my past experience. We had to analyse this to be sure what it was, when purchased out of Pakistan awhile ago. It was an aberrant specimen of 2019, and we obtained no others despite trying to find more. The combination of shape and color, all of this rarity goes along with a great pyramidal termination, making it just gorgeous regardless of species!
