Complete, glassy, transparent to translucent Analcime crystals are associated with Prehnite and Quartz on this really fine Goboboseb miniature. The two lustrous Analcime crystals are gemmy to translucent and measure 2 and 0.8 cm in size, respectively. Both are colorless to white with the larger one being more gemmy than the smaller. The large one may actually be two, very tightly intergrown crystals given the partial duplicity of a few faces and it is mostly gem around the exterior and part way into the interior of the crystal! An adjacent Prehnite cluster is an elegant small, 1.3 mm cluster that fans out about its long axis and is a pale lime green in color. There is another small, 5 mm ball of Prehnite placed between the two Analcime crystals. The remainder of the piece is graced by numerous, glassy, transparent, 2 to 5 mm Quartz crystals along one end and at the front of the piece. Another attractive and nicely composed combination miniature from Goboboseb. Analcime is rare from here, and this comes from one of the most significant African mineral collections ever built, that of Charlie Key.
