A stunning bicolored, 100% transparent gem quality crystal showing every quality you could want in a gem crystal: clarity, sparkle, luster, form, and perfection. Kunzite is the pink variety of spodumene, and triphane is the green-yellow variety, and this single crystal has both - in a weird miracle of mineralogical oddity. This is from a startling NEW find of summer 2019, at the old workings of the ancient Urucum Mine where many great crystals had been found in the late 1990s, and then in occasional pockets since. At 411 grams, it is a complete floater, intact all around, and obtained by our friend and staff mineralogist Dr. Tom Campbell on one of his frequent trips to Brazil. Large, dramatic, stunning for coloration... just a classic.
