This fine Acanthite specimen from the famous Himmelsfurst mine is comprised of numerous cubic crystals up to 1.2 cm. Many of the corners on the smaller crystals are modified by the octahedron, and each of the crystals range from well-formed to an almost 'melted' look. Really, the complexity of the cluster, as well as the variations within each crystal, almost creates the feeling as if this were from someplace otherworldly such as the Moon. The luster is good, and the varied forms are intriguing. A choice thumbnail that is much better in person.
