This beautiful display specimen is from the Mantos Mixtos in Naica. Sharp Galena crystals provide fantastic contrast for the gemmy Fluorite crystals. Limpid windowpane faces look into the gemmy, distinctive pale green spinel-twins from the Mantos Mixtos zone of Naica. White Calcite crystals appear to drape around the Fluorites too, highlighting the fine spinel-twins. The Calcite has some damage, but as a bonus, it fluoresces bright pink best under shortwave light. However, the aesthetics of this piece belies the edge wear, and its a terrific example of this material.
