Miniature, 4.3 x 1.9 x 0.9 cm
Ex. Kay Robertson
SOLD
Worked as far back as the 1700s, this classic old mining region in the Urals includes the Tur'inskii Mine. This 3-dimensional Copper, sharp and intricate, is complete all around. The Copper crystals, with their fine, rich patina, are in a herringbone pattern on one side, and hoppered crystals on the other. Almost certainly there is prevalent spinel twinning, and this choice miniature is tipped by a complex, 1.2 cm Copper crystal that that may have a hoppered aspect to it. Very aesthetic, this is an excellent Copper mined over a hundred years ago. Previously in the collection of Austrian collector and dealer Anton Berger. NOTE: this comes with a Xerox of one label found in the box with a larger specimen, but obtained together as a lot.
