Sugilite

Miniature, 3.5 x 1.8 x 1.2 cm

An extremely colorful specimen of solid, fibrous royal-purple sugilite richly embedded with darker purple sugilite microcrystals. very UNCOMMON with this richness. The crystals are small, but so bright and so colorful! This is very desirable and hard to obtain today. This quality is from a single pocket found late in 2016, and although there were many pieces, this is one of the absolutely most densely formed and saturated I have seen. Sugilite is a beautiful and chemically complex potassium lithium iron manganese silicate.
