Betekhtinite is a rare copper, iron, lead sulfide. This superb example is likely from the famous discovery of 1998, which produced the best of the species known for this mineral to date. The Betekhtinite has good luster, a uniform and metallic gray-black color, and parallel-growth lathes that average 1-2 cm in length. While not glamorous in color, it is choice in size and display aesthetics for what it is, and very hard to obtain in such quality.
