Thumbnail, 2.7 x 1.3 x 1.2 cm
SOLD
An excellent, showy vanadinite specimen from the classic, but now hard to obtain source of the San Carlos Mine of Chihuahua, Mexico. This doubly terminated, highly lustrous, translucent, wet-look, butterscotch-colored, hexagonal vanadinite prism has a highly unusual pyramidal termination. The sidecar crystals are a nice accent. Rare in this quality and crystal form. These came out in the 1960s and 1970s, with none since. Ex. Jaime Bird Collection.
