An orpiment from the famous Nevada finds a few years back that redefined how good orpiments can get. They are certainly the prettiest known for the species. This is a cluster of fine crystals to 1.7 cm across. The color is a bit more towards butterscotch in person. Nearly all of these have little bruises here and there, as they are so soft, but the bruises on this specimen are limited to the periphery and the display face as well as the color saturation are phenomenal. One of the better pieces I have seen on the market from this find of 5 years or so ago. 4.4 x 3.5 x 2.2 cm
