From the great USA (best ever!) orpiment find in the late 1990s, this lustrous and translucent orpiment specimen features intergrown, slightly diverging crystals, to 2.5 cm in length. It has fantastic color and fire-orange luster with metallic reflections, like few others of this species ever had. Fine specimens from this mine, 1998-2000, are arguably among the finest in the world of their species for the luster and color. This is a balanced, display-worthy specimen from that classic era.
