The wonderful orpiments from Nevada tend to overshadow the very significant ones from Peru and China - but they should NOT be overlooked! Here is a large matrix BRISTLING with large, elongated crystals (to 2 cm!). They cover this specimen on every side except the bottom - there must be over 100 crystals here! As is usual with these, some of the crystals are missing or bruised, but the damage is very modest considering the magnitude of this specimen.
