New finds of well-crystallized mimetite are of course rare, so this one caused quite a bit of excitement back in 2002-2003. And this is a RICH example with dozens of unusually transparent and bright crystals, some of them like little yellow-orange gems measuring to 0.4 cm. The crystals wrap around the side of the limonitic matrix.
