Jacobsite is described in the Cairncross book Manganese Adventure as being very rare and only seldom occurring as small sub-mm octohedral crystals in protected vugs. THESE, however, are freestanding, SHARP, lustrous crystals to 3 mm in size aethetically arranged on a contrasting matrix of lizardite and minute garnets! 6 x 4 x 3 cm
