A GORGEOUS, LARGE CABINET specimen loaded with intergrown balls of creedite and covered with gemmy, burnt-orange crystals. Good creedites were rare and expensive from ANY locality, until these orange ones were found in Mexico. Suddenly, you could own a really fine creedite without selling your house to get it. Then, about six months ago, we heard that the mining was FINISHED, apparently for good. We were lucky enough to put some aside before the mining stopped. This is a beautiful and aesthetic specimen with absolutely very few broken crystals, for such a large piece. The peripheral contacting is really neat, as it shows the hollow, radial growth of the creedite crystals.
