This is another unique Tsumeb calcite specimen from my own collection, purchased when I was visiting Marshall Sussman in Chicago in the mid 1990s. Perched exquisitely on light green duftite and a thin layer of dolomite are a few glassy and gemmy, colorless calcite rhombohedrons, highlighted by an incredible one measuring 4 cm on an edge. The back of the specimen is a curving plate of dolomite pseudomorphed after small disc-shaped calcites arranged in parallel. A fine old classic of the best Tsumeb calcite style, the sharp rhomb, with exceptional luster! Ex.
