This fine adularia specimen from the Swiss Alps (where the best are from) came with a mysterious handwritten label listing the locality in German, and the date "1930." So it is a real old-timer! The largest rhomb here measures 3.5 cm across. The crystals have a beautiful pearly sheen that is the reason they are also known as "moonstone".
