Small Cabinet, 9.0 x 7.5 x 7.0 cm
SOLD
This fine and showy orthoclase variety adularia specimen from the Swiss Alps has large, blocky, stair-stepped crystals. The largest rhomb measures 4.3 cm across. The crystals have a beautiful pearly sheen that is the reason they are also known as "moonstone" and are nicely accented by lustrous, yellow iron oxides. From the collection of Rolf Wein.
