This sparkling specimen of mica schist hosts a 1.5 cm garnet of tangerine orange color, starkly and beautifully displayed. It is well exposed already but could, with time and a little pick or sharp metal tool, be exposed further than we have done to make it look even more like a golf ball popping up.
