Paradamite
Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
Miniature, 4.9 x 3.8 x 3.8 cm
SOLD
From the type locality finds of the early 1980s, this rare cousin of adamite is a zinc arsenate. The crystals are aesthetically perched on a limonite matrix and are lustrous, translucent, with a pastel greenish-yellow color. The main crystal cluster is 3.0 cm in length - included a bit by matrix, but huge and in good condition otherwise. A good paradamite is very hard to come by from this mine.
