A very rare, sharp, complete-all-around pyroxene from this old US district, circa mid to late 1800s. From the miniature rarities suite of Lawrence Conklin, who exchanged it from the American Museum of Natural History. Ex. Clarence Bement collection (late 1800s). This crystal is TRANSLUCENT AND GEMMY, with a distinct olive-green color when backlit. Repaired at the 1/3-up point.
