This rare specimen features an exquisitely twinned 3 cm rutile crystal perched atop contrastignmatrix and comes from the classic California locality. It would be considered, for the sharpness, twinning, and the aesthetics as well, to be one of the very best specimens from this remote mine. It comes from the Don Boydston Collection - Don himself was a noted California collector whose collection recently surfaced after disappearing for a number of decades.
