Lazulite is a rare and beautiful phosphate mineral species, seldom translucent and colorful as here. At approximately 3.5 x 3 x 2 cm in size, this is a huge and rare matrix specimen of lazulite from ANY locale, but especially from the old Pakistani finds of the late 1990s. These are now legendary and are absolutely best of species! Yet, they are also nowhere to be found. We obtained this in an old collection and were shocked to find it there... as even at the time, almost none came out on matrix. Although not pristine, it is well terminated atop and has gemmy flashes. It has some contacting and a little damage at the base of the crystal, but this is nevertheless huge, dramatic, colorful, and even important.
