Choice, and surprisingly uncommon in this kind of radial symmetry from Greece, this thumbnail specimen of Azurite is from the Christiana Mine at Lavrion. The rich, violet-blue color is excellent, and the good luster helps you appreciate the cluster's rare and coveted rosette structure. Found in 2012, these beauties have always been in high demand when they come to market. Most of them are clusters or asymmetric, but this is a perfect flower shape. It is a large thumbnail size, a "box-buster" but can fit in a competition case.
