Quality clusters of Azurites, especially when they take a rosette-like form, are uncommon from Greece and highly sought-after. This fine, large thumbnail features Azurite crystals up to about 8 mm. It is scintillating and lustrous, textured surfaces and a robust, blue-violet color give the piece a vivid and attractive appearance. Collected in 2012 from the well-known Christiana Mine in Lavrion, Azurites with such aesthetics and quality are considered rare, no matter what their age. This is a floater, complete all around. While common enough, this is a particularly good one with more style than usual.
