Wulfenite and Mimetite
Rowley Mine, Painted Rock Mining Dist., Maricopa Co., Arizona, USA
Thumbnail, 2.0 x 1.7 x 0.8 cm
Ex. Dr. Alex Schauss

The photo, the video, show you a glistening cluster of orange wulfenite and red mimetite but fail to convey the sheer impact in person. This is a group of four lustrous windowpane transparent orange colored crystals partially covered by small bubbles of Mimetite. It is a spectacular thumbnail from a very rare and desirable find circa 2010, and Alex was part of the mining project at the time and had his choice of thumbnails as they came out. In person, this is so spectacular, so special a color... it is simply not like other finds here. The piece practically glows in the dark with color. These wulfenites are, for our tastes, the finest wulfenite thumbnails for impact and color.
