Alex Schauss prided his collection on having the broadest possible representation of superb crystalline examples of the most rare species possible, particularly things considered by others to be obscure, dark, unworthy of exhibit. Here we have a truly superb, lustrous black terminated crystal with a small single crystal at mid-level on the side of the larger crystal. Pargas is the type locality for Pargasite.
