A large example of a solid crystallized cluster of Austinite, completely translucent! Some of these individual crystals reach 1 cm in size, and the sphere in the middle is approximately an inch across. It is simply huge for the species, complete all around, and so surprising that at first you think you are looking at a pale adamite that is unusually gemmy, but no, it is an Austinite from amazing finds here circa 2008-2010. From the Pellar Collection. Ron Pellar is a well known Tucson-based collector, specializing in aesthetics and species examples, particularly of superb thumbnails. This is a competitive specimen, for the species!
