The Avila collection preserves a suite of wulfenites from various finds at Ojuela that he himself handled, mostly from the time of 2000-ish through 2015; and this is a sparkling beauty from that suite of depth for the Ojuela Mine. This pocket came out in the mid-2000s and few were preserved intact or in good size. The specimen features sharp yellow wulfenites, rare for Ojuela, to 6 mm in size. They decorate a gossan matrix, atop contrasting burnt-amber colored mimetite balls beneath, and look gorgeous under a loupe or any close inspection. Although small, the quality is high and the rarity from Ojuela is the main point.
