This is a surprise among other gem crystals here, a superb gem crystal of a normally boring species and from a rare old find. It is a very fine gem crystal miniature (we can squeeze it into a thumbnail box...but it is rather large to fit). This is a complete transparent light purple single gemmy crystal said to have been collected in 1979. Certainly we have seen these - of lesser quality - in old collections.
