Devilline is among the classic and 'antique' European copper minerals, and the finest of these specimens are from Spania Dolina. They are simply never seen in quality from anywhere else and this UNIQUE color leaps out from any collection. This one location and find dates to the mid 1800s and has been for nearly 200 years, the standard and the best. This locality (formerly called Herrengrund) forms emerald-green, platy "rosettes," as is the case with this beautiful specimen. Quite rich, there are dozens of these rosettes in the 2-3 mm range, covering a hefty portion of the display face. Beautiful, highly desirable, old pieces such as this miniature from Herrengrund date to the 1800's, and are hard to come by today. Old label included.
