Beautifully formed in a perfect octahedron, this hauerite crystal of manganese sulfide exhibits some metallic luster and a chocolate brown color. It is also complete all around! These are ancient classics, found only a few times in the mid 1800s, and treasured among European collectors. For condition, this is among the sharpest we have seen, and is a full thumbnail of good size to represent this important discovery.
