This specimen features a cyclic spray of well developed crystals of the extremely rare mineral fairfieldite. The cluster is 1 cm across and notable for the color, the aesthetics, and the remarkable size and quality of the crystals for this species. This is an old specimen collected by Jack Eaker, mine assayist, in the 1970s. It is unusually elegant for this material! Minor matrix seems to be sparkly quartz coating dolomite.
