This stunning cabinet sized specimen combines all the classic mineral finds of Rowley into one piece: sharp gem winowpanes of wulfenite to approx 1 cm, with crystallized baryte and accents of yellow mimetite. The wulfenite crystals are simply exquisite - there is no other word. They are even more sharp in person, as the camera has so much trouble with focus because they are transparently clear, and the camera tries to look through them. This is a well composed specimen that fills the space of display, and has a good 3-D shape to it. From the collection of the late Bob Reynolds, known for his large wulfenite suite. This came out in the modern, Keith Wentz era (probably 2010-15). It is doubtful that more mining can resume here in any large scale due to disruptive behavior from the Arizona authorities regulating mining. We believe this is sturdy enough, that it can be shipped safely with minimal damage in transit, although hand delivery is always preferred on wulfenites.
