This is an important, and competition-worthy example of the exceptionally rare species Yugawarilite and may have come from what was probably the best find of the species in the mid-1990s. This is a superb cluster, with elegantly displayed crystals to 1 inch, in parallel. Note how gemmy the tips are! Purchased directly from German dealer and explorer Bert Ottens, one of the first to travel seriously to India at the time, in 1997, this came to Shields via the well-known East Coast thumbnail specialist Ernie Schlicter. Ernie was Shields Flynn's friend and thumbnail mentor/competitor and passed on 300 of his favorite core specimens to Shields for this collection.
