This is a spectacular Aragonite cluster from Spain consisting of eight pleasing, light to medium lilac colored crystals delicately stacked one upon the other vertically and laterally. The transparent to translucent, pseudohexagonal, sixling twins are very lustrous for the species and the locality. These are devoid of the often distracting clay inclusions which makes this piece all the more attractive! Most of the crystals are actually two-tone with a more saturated burgundy at the centers and paler lavender at the terminations of the crystals. The largest crystal in this group measures 4 cm across. Aragonite clusters like this are uncommon and only recovered after some very careful extraction. These are fragile and understandably, it is repaired. A very aesthetic and three-dimensional Aragonite!
