This is a remarkably impressive Bastnaesite crystal, unusual because of the vivid red-golden color and the stout and robust size and form. If that wasn't impressive enough, the crystal is made all the more interesting by inclusions of rutile within! This is a significant and beautiful crystal. Please note that the back is contacted or broken, although it shows complete from the front and if it was perfect, it would command a far higher price. Nevertheless, very very impressive in a display - it leaps out! The color is just brighter and more saturated than most all others, which usually are too dark and have too much brown hue.
