Opal replacing Bivalve
Coober Pedy, South Australia, Australia
Miniature, 5.0 x 2.5 x 1.0 cm
SOLD

A classic, asymmetrical and beautiful opalized mollusk from the famous Coober Pedy Opal Field of South Australia. This polished beauty has excellent neon green speckles and some lavender flashes that really sets off this distinctive opalized fossil! This is an excellent and above-average quality opalized mollusk showing good form of the bivalve from this well-known locale. It is very visibly colorful and translucent with off-white siltstone "matrix" as infill evident on the reverse side. Weight 9g.
